The self-directed study courses, except for "Student Self-directed Study," "Student Recruitment," and "Workplace Competency and Applications," which are 1 credit each, are other courses worth 2 credits.

4."Student Self-directed Study" requires prior completion of the core courses in that area before enrollment. 5.In the General Education curriculum, "Media Literacy" is available to students from all colleges except the School of Communication.

6.This policy applies to students who enrolled before the 2025-2026 academic year.

7.00913 Introduction to Photographic Art (E), 00914 Gender and Image (E), and 00915 Introduction to Artificial Intelligence (E) are taught in English.

8.Students from the Department of Business Administration and the Department of International Business are not allowed to take the course "Interdisciplinary Exploration: Management I"; students from the Department of Finance, the Department of Accounting, and the Department of Information Applications and Financial Insurance are not allowed to take the course "Interdisciplinary Exploration: Management II."

說明:

1.      General education courses must be completed with at least 12 credits before graduation. The courses are divided into three areas: Humanities, Social Sciences, and Natural Sciences. Each area is further divided into two subcategories: Core and Extended. Each student must complete at least 2 credits in each subcategory of every area to be eligible for graduation.Courses related to student recruitment and student independent study in each area can be recognized as extended courses in that area. If a student has completed the extended courses in an area, those can be recognized as elective credits of the other departments. This policy applies to students who enrolled before the 2024-2025 academic year.

2.      00913 Introduction to Photographic Art (E), 00914 Gender and Image (E), and 00915 Introduction to Artificial Intelligence (E) are taught in English。

3.      In the curriculum structure, "Media Literacy" is open to students from all colleges except the School of Communication; "Business Ethics" and "Business Ethics and Sustainability" are limited to students from the School of Management.。

4.      The core courses in the three major areas of humanities, social sciences, and natural sciences are each worth 2 credits; the extended courses, except for "Student Self-Directed Learning" and "Student Course Submission" which are 1-credit micro-credit courses, are all worth 2 credits。

5.      If students wish to take the "Student-led Learning" and "Student-funded Courses" categories of extended courses in the three major areas (the implementation methods for these two courses are detailed in the respective course regulations), they must complete at least two courses in each area to earn two credits in order to graduate。

6.      This general education curriculum framework applies to students enrolled from the 2024-2025 academic year onwards, and also to students enrolled before the 2023-2024 academic year。
